Why Ecademy will succeed

Regardless of your opinion of online networking, or of Ecademy, or of its seemingly ubiquitous Chairman, Thomas Power, the fact is that Thomas and the whole Ecademy team seem to have an extraordinary ability to get people to buy into their vision, and it is a vision that has not previously existed (at least not prominently) in the area of business networking. They’re succeeding because they’re meeting a previously unmet need.

Check out the pic at left from the Ecademy Asia Pacific launch event. There were over 500 people in attendance!

Interesting that with the rise of social networking sites, power networkers like Thomas Power is described here by Scott Allen as “ubiquitous”.

  2. Social networking will explode when it integrates with collaborative networking. Social networking is the online and offline structure for finding the people with whom you want to work; collaborative networking is doing the work with the people that you found.
